i renecelty signed up to gfk and today i got a email saying that an assignment was available - i then checked under my account on the gfk website but found that there was no assignments available at the present time

does this happen alot that their are no tieups between the emails that get sent out and what assignmenst are actually available via the website

The email gets sent out to lots of people all at once, so someone else in your area probably took the job before you logged in.
  • I was sorry to read about the problems some people have had with Gap. I have been lucky and never had problems with them at all. They have never underpaid me, have been fair when I have experienced assignment problems and I have always found them to be friendly and polite when they have phoned me. They are also the company who give me the most work, though I have to say that I don't get a lot from any company for my area, I think it must be a regional thing. The only thing I don't like about them is that you can't phone them if you have a problem as I like to get things sorted quickly.
  • My dealings with GAP have been nothing but positive, I have a decent flow of jobs from them, and havent been underpaid.

Hi guys, incase of any of you are awaiting payment from Frontline then this was on a banner on the site today.

THE NEXT PAY DATE FOR ASSIGNMENTS COMPLETED 1ST TO 31ST NOVEMBER WILL BE CIRCA 31ST JANUARY

So maybe it's a slightly shorter wait for some of you's this time. It looks like the visits I did in December I may get at the end of February if I am lucky  ... so glad it's not assignments that I had to wait on reimbusments for.

Anyone else having problems downloading notes from RE? I was trying to print copies of my pending ones and both my laptop and PC were telling me the file were corrupt for all three.
It’s not worth doing something unless someone, somewhere, would much rather you weren’t doing it.

  • I've been given a pub visit from one company, which involves paying to get into the establishment. I've been told to ask for a receipt(!) from the door staff. Methinks that'll give the game away before I'm even in the door. Has anyone else been given as assignment like that in the past, and did you manage it without arousing suspicion?

I saw that and thought it was absolutely botox! Is that with RE on a nightclub visit?

RE really don't have any idea what's obvious to a company and what's not. Soon we'll have to get a mystery shopper admission form signed when we go into places, no doubt.

.... And thinking about it, if I went to my local branch of that nightclub and asked for a receipt, they'd think I was being a cocky drunk lad and beat me up!

That will show on your shopper log today but it will be another few days until it appears in your own bank account.
