  • will everyone please note this name ' CRG'. I applied to be a mystery shopper which they accepted me for and then asked that I review Moneygrams through the post office. I was asked to Moneygram an amount to someone I trusted - I used my son - and then write and email a report on how the transaction was handled. Unfortunately for me, before my son could collect the money from his local post office in Yorkshire, someone else collected it in the south, I lost £300 and although the police are investigating, I have little hope of getting it back. BE AWARE. I thought I was quite aware of things like this and actually checked with the post office that only some one who showed a valid photo passport or photo driving licence could draw it. However this is only necessary when the amount is over £650.

I have done mobile jobs for GAP but it asks me to upload a receipt... What sort of receipt should I upload since there were no receipts for this job.

I've done my first job for Retail Maxim today. Can anyone tell me how/when I can expect to get paid? I signed up with them in about March and can't remember whether they have my bank details.

Hi, they're usually very quick. I often get the fees part paid more or less straightaway (about a week) and then the rest once you've sent your receipt in. HTH

OUCH! I know hindsight is a wonderful thing, but the amount they were asking you to transfer would ring alarm bells with me, even if it was to a relative - all sounds very dodgy!
  • I hope you can answer my, I hope, easy question... I just signed up for two mystery shopper companies. It was a decision I didn't think through properly. After having given this a bit more thought, I realized I wouldn't have enough time to do this. Therefore, my question is about registering this for tax. Do I still have to register even though I know I will not complete any of the jobs and am actually to sign out from the services? I just don't want to get into trouble... Thank you

If you haven't and won't earn anything from Mystery Shopping then you wouldn't need to register for tax.

  • Did a casino assignment for RE last night and had a blast! I wish my 'real' job was as much fun! :rotfl:

The reimbursement is £50, but my receipt is only £25 for the meal, I take it they still give you the rest for the gaming as you can't get a receipt for that?

    Thanks!

Well done FS. I keep seeing those jobs but they never match my plans. Soooo jealous as they look great !!!

Also, can anyone help me with a stupid query for the italians on GAP. Doing my first one this tuesday and just wondered about the meal options. If 2 of you are going does one of you have to have a pizza or can you both have pasta??

I have had little work since October, until this week, when I had one of my best weeks ever - £249.50p in one week!

    OMG  A WEEK ???? :T:T :T

I know I'm new to this MS malarkey but I don't think I'll ever be able to get a week like that. I'd be happy to even have a month with a figure like that lol
