NoOneReally wrote: »Just a quick follow up on this, got a email on 23rd Dec to say they had 'administrative challenges', but this was all resolved and payments would be with me shortly', but still nothing !, have emailed again and still no reply, should I just email them and tell them I will start a small claim or wait more, I just feel that they may be about to fail, if they have not already done so.
I emailed them yesterday and have not yet had reply. If I don't hear back today, I will phone them. Will post on here any response I get.0 -
Yes but I also do merchandising and auditing work too.
It's getting harder as the years pass as clients move companies to ones who pay shoppers less. The next round of contract changing is due to start as the tax year approaches.
In the "olden days" I used to do masses of work for a certain chain and the fee was £25 a visit plus mileage and parking. It's kept moving client and the current fee is £6 flat fee with no expenses.
I've only been MS'ing for a couple of years but even in that time I have noticed fees being cut - particularly when the stores move from one MS company to another.
There also seems to be a lot less around than there was even a year ago - or just more of us doing it!0 -

I've not had much from Gap for the last couple of months. Have I just missed everything or are there fewer jobs on there? We’ve had to remove your signature. Please check the Forum Rules if you’re unsure why it’s been removed and, if still unsure, email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0

I think there's less. Haven't seen their electrical shops for a while or the travel agents. Also, they've blocked me from the phones because they said I'd done too many.0 -

I'm blocked from stamp shops as I'd done too many of them, have seem a couple of the "number" phone shops but no others for a while, I have done quite a few of them so maybe I'm blocked as well. We’ve had to remove your signature. No, nor me. There def seem to be fewer around. Perhaps some chains are cutting back the number of times they mys shop an outlet, so instead of every month it's now every quarter or if it was every quarter it's only every 6 months?0
