Yeah it means ddb has paid too much in TNS as it seems there shouldn't have been any tax to pay.

    Woohoo!

I was assuming TNS meant the MS company TNS. Does it mean something else?

I mean, I don't understand the phrase, he 'has paid too much in TNS'.

Yeah it means TNS the MSing company....

DDB paid tax on TNS earnings of £13.86 but as s/he (?) didn't earn enough in total over the year to have paid tax, this £13.86 was essentially an overpayment.

Sarah are you registered for just one client or more? There is certainly loads of jobs for one of the clients in London just now.

How do you register for more clients? I think I am only registered for 1

I'm confused - I'm sure I've never had tax deducted by TNS and have been with them 2 years. Am I missing something?
    Now proud Mumto3 :j

Not sure - I've only been with them about a year and up until April 5th 08 they were PAYE - they then changed to self employed status (or changed us to SE status anyway!)

It may be with TNS that they know it's your only job or something mumto2?

Thanks for the explanation Timmne. So, are we assuming that he/she paid the tax direct (paye) at a point in time before TNS switched over to self employed then? I've only been with them a short while, and it's always been self-employed for me, which is why I couldn't understand how he/she had paid tax.

Sorry for the confusion - I told you it didn't take much!!!!

    Don't worry, you're a lady ;) *hides*

Yes - this won't happen again with TNS as they don't do PAYE on MSing although I think they still operate it with some sort of panel division althouh I'm not certain.
