just snaffled an american italian restaurant on RE for january. that will be something to do in the cold miserable weeks after christmas. they all have to be done on one night otherwise i would have picked up a few!0

On taking a closer look now I see that the restaurant jobs that RE have are for January not tomorrow night- Oops! I'd take one but my husband hates the place and refuses to go there - even for free!
On that cafe job I didn't take a pic because it was in a dept store and the site has been refurbished replaced with another dept so the pic wouldn't make any sense anyway.0 -

You should do - they should at least cover your expenses. The couple of times I've gone to a place which was unexpectedly closed or whatever, the MS company has paid my expenses, and if applicable, asked if I am able to reschedule the shop (obvously no good in your case!).

Hey,
Im just signing upto companies to be a mystery shopper but feel slightly daunted by the 88 pages of thread so far!
How many companies can you work for? I am a little concerned on the having to pay out first and then getting your money back, im on a very low income to start lol!
Can you claim travel expenses?
I read the first post, but any extra pointers & tips would be gratefully recieved!

You can work for as many companies as you like. If you don't want to pay out upfront, look for jobs like the mobile phone shops and banks, which don't involve a purchase.
Travel expenses are included in the fee in most cases, but sometimes a company will pay extra if they're asking you to travel outside your area or needing a job done at very short notice.
The biggest tip I can give you is to read all the instructions very, very thoroughly. Make a small mistake and you may find the MS company considers the visit invalid and you won't be paid.Egg Loan - [strike]£4921.84[/strike] £0!! :j Barclaycard - £3866.47 Legal + Trade - [strike]£2700.96[/strike] £0!! :j Triton - [strike]£1730.89[/strike] £0!! :j Next - [STRIKE]£776.15[/STRIKE] £126.88 Littlewoods - [strike]£217.16[/strike] £0!! :j Housemate - [strike]£1300[/strike] £0!! :j Capital One - [STRIKE]£1652.51[/STRIKE] £1,081.58 Vanquis - [strike]£2337.75[/strike] £375.58

Yes I've had the same with some of the other MS companies and they've always covered my expenses but this one company says in the brief that they don't reimburse you, they just give you an £x incentive because you have to make this visit as part of your normal shopping. i.e. no travel expenses!0

Further to my post about KS numbers on burger receipts been informed it is the register number seems obvious to me

Could you please post on the alerts thread when you spot new jobs and give a bit of an idea as to location? Like NW or SE etc. Only asking because I've never yet in 2 years seen these american italian restaurants on RE - maybe my score's too low, but I suspect they get snaffled up pretty quickly too.
Thanks, muchly!0
