Still no bookies on Gap - boo hoo! Was also hoping for some convenience store jobs for December too. It's looking rather thin on the ground on Gap at the moment, isn't it. Couldn't even do those nice pizza ones in the NE as I'm not up there on those dates - grr!

would love a few bookies or convenience stores lol - getting a bit sick of burgers now :o :rotfl:

Has anyone experienced difficulty with reserved jobs on abai? I applied to be held in reserve for a job and twice had an email saying it was now available and to go onto the site and select in the normal way. Both times it wasn't there when I went to look. I know I could email them, but it's a job I could only do on a weekend and I was only really looking out of interest and would have taken it if it was still there coming up to the weekend, but it wasn't there.

Just not sure if I was too slow or if others have had this?
  • Josie, I have had the exact same thing happen to me twice. I figured I was too slow, although I logged on as soon as I got the e-mail.
  • Me three!! I thought I was slow too, but now I don't know!! Never managed to get a job with them yet either!

  • I've just signed up for BARE, done the basics test and am starting to apply for jobs. I've got some of the xxx ones in my area, including xxxx. It says I need to get a written quotation for a laptop with the recommendation for a particular processor on it, which needs to be scanned and uploaded.
Has anyone here ever tried these jobs? Is it hard to get a written recomendation, I doubt xxxxx employ staff with PC expertise, as the computers they sell are just another off-the-shelf item. If you don't get a written recomendation or quote, does it mean you won't get paid for the job?

    Thanks in advance!

PS does anyone here do work for Maritz/QCS?

    Hi ozvaldinho,

Sorry to sound harsh but could you please remove the supermarket brand and the computer one too from your post? You're breaking the Ts & Cs of your agreement with BARE.

    Thanks :D

All I've been able to see on Gap for the last week or so are coffee ones, which have now gone to Premium payment but even though they are in the areas I cover, I cant make the date and/or time of any of them

The batteries on my scales ran out, and I emailed them, and they said to buy new batteries, email them the receipt, and they would reimburse me with next months payment :T

I signed up for Bare but reading their notes makes me think they might not have many jobs for newbies - is this the case? :(

I only started with doing assignments for this month.
I applied for an assignment and got it. That gave me a average score and since then I have picked up quite a few assignments.
So as long as you have the minimum score for the shop and you meet the guidelines, you could apply for it and see.
