Why would that be, doesn't makes sense, but that not uncommon for you though.
We're you refering to me? I'm self employed Lone Ranger. So what are you describing as a dead low end job and why do you have a problem with people saying how hard they've worked? Is it because it goes against your way of treating them like door mats?0 -
What do you consider as a dead end low paid job?
Also if the queues are too long at places you are going, then don't bother going there. Vote with your feet if it is such an issue.
The emphasis on issues with queues should be on the general public and not the retailer, as on many occasions where I have queued in supermarkets the problem has been with general public and their avoidance of common sense e.g. taking a trolley down the hand baskets only till.
Also as a frequent visitor to theme parks I have experienced queuing at its worst, but I know that is not the fault of the ride staff, but the publics inability to queue in an orderly manner.
I feel this topic of debate is not objective anymore and is based around LONERANGER attempting to insult some of the nations hardest workers. It's a pity he can't express his opinion in a more adult manner without resorting to petty insults.0 -
Agreed with what Bunnie says in part. A lot of people at work pay cheques in through the counter (when there's a machine that does it quickly, and gives you a receipt with a photocopy of the cheques - one of the most common excuses is "I want a stamp on it", because somehow that's better than a photocopy of the cheques on the bank's paper) or get out amounts of cash they could easily take out of the ATM (someone today said that he prefers it this way because it's "better"... why?!) or ask to do things we can't do at the counter (account openings and such) or get statements/transfers between linked accounts/cancelling standing orders (which there's also a dedicated machine for now)...
It's like we TRY and make ways for people to finish their banking and get out of the branch quicker and more efficiently (and in the case of the ATM and the cheque machine, somewhat safer too) but people don't use them because it isn't what they're used to.0 -
