"pawpurrs no we arent but its not going to be hard as she lives next door to the property"
It's possible they might consider a lower offer since they don't live in it.
Do you know what their situation is?0 -
apparently the mum lived in it and is now in a home, also i know she just wants to hurry up and have it done with i guess as she has recently lost her husband and i think they said she has a terminally ill uncle too?0

Very pretty front view - for gawds sake take up those awful slabs in the back garden and put some fencing and greenery in.

I dont really follow - are you saying that the money available to you has been reduced - ie.. they are saying they want you to put down a bigger deposit? This is very different situation to them saying the valuation was lower. The house was £100k wasnt it? £30k off is quite a drop on a low priced property.0 -
Yes that is what she is saying. TBH the sale has been tied up for weeks, I would be jumping up and down, as I say be honest and see what they say, but no way would my house be off the market for weeks with no survey and sols not doing any work, its very unfair on the vendor not to be told what is happening, the EA must be pretty crap if they are not chasing and keeping the vendor informed.
I think 20k seems far too much at that level.
What income multiples are you trying for? (that takes in to account benefits if the lender is including those)Pawpurrs x

Its worth about £10k.
Seriously. Its crap. I cant imagine why anybody would want to get into debt over a bog-standard unmodernised northern terrace.[FONT=Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]Rise like Lions after slumber

Rach, despite the banks bailout, we are headed for a serious recession. This is not a good time to be taking out the absolute maximum mortgage you can get.No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0
