Orange Livebox- anybody else had these issues?

I took out Orange Home Broadband Max a few months ago seen as I have an Orange contract for my mobile phone. The service is fantastic and the speeds are excellent. The Orange Livebox, on the other hand, is not. Specifically the wireless connection on it stays stable for a few hours, then blinks on and off every five seconds or so, making any connection to the internet impossible. After much talk with the (unsurprisingly inefficient) technical department (who knew less about routers than me) I got a replacement router. Which does the same thing. I have tried everything I can think of, but this problem persists.
Currently I'm using my previous NetGear router, which is fine. The speeds are superb. The only gripe is that I miss out on the free international calls, which would be very useful. But even without them this is still a much cheaper and better service for me than any alternative.
Has anybody else had these issues with the Orange Livebox? If so, how did you solve it? I've scoured the internet but with no luck, so if this problem can be fixed I would be grateful to find out how.

could it be your wirless card in your pc/laptop or are you running more than one wireless machine and it happening on both?
If its just one machine and your able to swap out the wireless I would suggest doing that. Or if its intergrated into a laptop have a look for the latest drivers for the wireless connection."Well, that sounds like a pretty good deal. But I think I got a better one. How about I give you the finger, and you give me my phone call"

Unfortunately it is a variety of different machines and makes. My girlfriend uses an Acer laptop running Windows XP, my other housemate uses a Dell laptop running Vista, and I use a MacBook Pro running Mac OSX. All get the problem simultaneously. As do my PS3 and Xbox 360 when they are connected.
I have fiddled around with all the wireless settings on the router, and nothing seems to have any effect. It's a problem that Orange tech support couldn't find an answer to (which is hardly surprising), and though I have found others with the problem through a Google search, an actual solution to it doesn't seem to forthcoming."MIND IF I USE YOUR PHONE?
