I echo the previous comments about the Tesco Magazine subscriptions, great value for money. We also went for the Legoland Annual Passes last year, and have been 5 times, hoping to squeeze in one more visit before they close for the winter - great for those families that have every toy imaginable!

Boots online are doing a 600 points if you spend £60 online at the mo....

Oh and as to spending £60 in boots....

Dora sing a long keyboard £30 (everywhere else - £45)
    Upsy Daisy with Bed £35
Any other £30 gift for someone -free

total £65 and the last of my daughters xmas and birthday pressies bought!

I frequently buy xmas pressies in boots cos it means people get more than I would normally spend and then I spend the advantage points on cold remedies in jan!!

I've used Boots points this year to get alot of presents with their 3 for 2. Having a baby means we get through a fair few nappies/wipes etc etc so i always stock up and take advantage of extra points codes.

Was lovely going in the other day, coming out with big bags of pressies having 'spent' £80 odd without it costing me a penny :)
    Slightly worn out mum to 3 (DS1 May 03, DS2 Feb 05, DD1 Feb 08). When i grow up i think i'll become a UN Peace keeper....

I'd never even consider spending over £50 to get a few extra points  and I can't honestly see how you can spend that amount there without going OTT?

I'm glad I found this offer as hubby needs new razor as from 22nd Oct the one I am going to buy him is half price at £60 so will get £10 worth of points and I have £15 worth of accumulated gift vouchers so in effect the razor will cost me £35 :T :D
Thanks to MSE savings we got to go to Disneyworld Florida.

i got three magazine subscriptions last year using my Tesco clubcard vouchers
world soccer for my brother in law- always a tough person to buy for
golfer and top gear for my OH
all three went down well and can be enjoyed all year round
definately going to do the same this year.
all cost between 7-10 pounds in vouchers, a bargain
  • In addition to the excellent magazine deals with Tesco, the annual memberships they have can be given as gifts as well and they have gone down well with our family.

MIL & FIL - English Heritage Annual Membership (£60 or £15 in vouchers)
Mum - Council for Archaeology membership (£8 in vouchers) - actually gave this for birthday and she was thrilled as into this kind of thing.

saved all my points last year in Boots
and used them in the January sale
when they had 75% off everything
got all my christmas presents for
    relatives.Made a really good saving
because £25 of points bought £100
worth of goods,if they had still been
    full price.

Dont forget you can top up your PAYG phone
and get points so if you go to one of the
shopper nights and cant reach the £50
spend this is a good way to do it.

I have almost 18,000 nectar points I've collected over the last few years, as I'm a bit strapped this year I wondered if anyone had any Christmas pressie ideas?
  • I usually spend my nectar points in Argos, for example this year I managed to get a Wii Fit completely free and delivered to my house on the first day of sale by paying with my nectar points. It's not the greatest exchange rate with 500 nectar points = £2.50, but it's an option if there is nothing on the website you fancy spending your hard-earned points on!

None of the nectar treats tend to be available in my area / things that my family would appreciate so I usually use buy things from Argos, or just spend them in Sainsburys on CDs etc. Don't forget Sainsburys also have a 3 for 2 on their Christmas gift range so might be able to get some good bargains with your points that way.

    Happy nectar shopping! :D

I've just received my tesco clubcard Goldsmiths vouchers 5250 points = £210 to spend on a posh watch for hubby and if i'm lucky there'll be enough left for me to get a little something too!
The very best is sometimes what nature gives us for free.
