I've never had an issue with Citylink but would never order from a site who use Parcelforce for delivery. They will just leave parcels (even those which need a signature) propped up against the front door in full view, especially when it's raining. Won't even put things under the carport where it is a bit less obvious and certainly drier.

That's EXACTLY what I wish ICL would do. I suppose it depends on what you want from your delivery service.
  • I would advise anyone to avoid any dealings whatsoever with this useless bunch of *******!!!

I wasted a days holiday sitting at home waiting for $h!tyLink to deliver a package which never arrived. Checked the website tracking system which said they had tried to deliver and had left a card. This was a complete lie - no one had tried to deliver and no card was left. From discussions with other people, I know it is common practice for them to PRETEND they tried to deliver when really the driver either can't be bothered finding your address or is running late & wants to get back to the depot.

I rang to arrange pickup of the parcel from the depot the next morning as I couldn't take another day off work. The bloke told me the depot opened at eight for pickup but, as I start work at eight, if I turned up at quarter to eight there would be someone there to deal with it.

When I got there at quarter to eight the ape that finally came to the desk after I rang the bell told me very aggressively that they don't open until eight. After explaining the previous day's debacle and that I had been told I could turn up at this time he then went off on one and said I shouldn't have been told that. Then his monkey mate stuck his head around the corner and grunted, and I quote 'you want to keep the f***ing door locked until eight - that'll f***ing keep 'em out.' Obviously they hadn't been on the 'Dealling with customers professionally and courteously' training course yet.
And all this despite the fact that it was me who had been totally inconvenienced the previous day and had driven out of my way saving them the job of delivering the parcel.

I will NEVER place an order with any company that uses these muppets even if the product is far cheaper than anywhere else. In the long run it's just not worth it.
  • Totally agree about them, worse jobs worth drivers i have ever come across. They wont leave parcels with my neighbour who has keys to my house even though she has offered to open up and let them put the parcel in my house and write whatever note they want to on the sheet.
But when i do get the parcels redirected to my work they will happily leave them in the wrong building with anyone who happens to be passing no matter how clear i make it that the goods should be delivered to myself in UNIT 42 NOT Unit 43.
I went to collect a parcel from them in Cardiff a few weeks ago and their staffs attitude is absolutely appaling i entered the reception and three of them were standing about talking after 3 minutes i asked if they would attend to me and one replied you haven't rung the bell !! so i gave the bell a very long ring ...
    WHOOOOSHHHHHHHHH……..
    Blimey what was that ?
    That was your life mate
Oh I wasn’t quite ready can I have another go ?
Sorry mate only one per person.
