As some of us have split for sunnier shores but still have financial interests in the UK (as well as tax liabilities etc), I'd like to suggest a board for expats. Please?
nothing to see here, move along...

There is a long thread in the Silver Savers Forum 'Living Abroad Tips and Hints for Moneysavers' - a 'sticky' near the top.
Although of course not all expats are Silver Savers!
A good idea.(AKA HRH_MUngo)

Imagine someone holding forth on biology whose only knowledge of the subject is the Book of British Birds, and you have a rough idea of what it feels like to read Richard Dawkins on theology: Terry Eagleton0 -
I'm only 30 though & not retired yet - thanks for the tip though - will go & have a peeknothing to see here, move along...0

Hi
Technically the T&Cs of this site demark that it is for UK & NI users and not for others. This is done as its how we have to legally set up.
Therefore to have a specific forum for expats isn't appropriate I'm afraid.

Hi maltesers
We have no issue with anyone visiting and using our site if they can benefit, but we don't actively cater to anyone outside of the UK.

Sorry I asked the question because I was reading a thread called ExPats are struggling as well which was closed by board guide on Old Style and her reason linked to Martin's post here. I thought it was a bit unkind to the poster.
The guide's post has now been deleted and the thread moved - so this may not make sense.0 -
maybe we could have a thread, but call it something else !! I'm also not a silver saver, I'm 34. We'll have to find a quiet corner somewhere, what do all you non ukers think?0

I'm not one of those Silver Savers either, but unfortunately, I am progressing towards it every so quickly
Not too fussed on having our own quiet little corner, but as I have only just registered to the site, there is an overwhelming amount of information.
My issue is that given the current financial climate I may be returning sooner than anticipated, and trying to read and digest all the information is well.....daunting.
I am so out of touch with technology, their associated companies, and who's best for what, even simple things like utility companies., but I'll deal with these when I have to
The one good thing is that I now know where to come for the information.0 -

NOT TRUE!!!!!
"11.2 This site is directed to users in England and Wales only unless otherwise specified for specific items posted on this site. "
So that excludes Scotland and NI then?0
