on entitledto it doesnt tell you how much benefit you can get if you claim JSA not contributions based.
Im trying to work out how much my family would get if I signed on JSA and would we still get tax credit, or is it IS instead?

Are you in a position to work, as when you sign for JSA you are saying you are available to work and that you are actively looking for a job.2008£3002009£13002010£15002011£41952012£21942013£1494

of course,
does anyone know acurate info or where to get it?
My wife has our 3 mnth old baby to look after do we both need to sign on? Or just me?
As far as I can tell from entitled to we would only get about 60quid wk? Is this right? Also I hope we could get help with our rent?0 -
Is your wife still employed? (albeit on maternity leave) as that would make a difference I believe.
If you get any income based jobseekers allwance you'd get help with the rent0 -
Are you out of a job yet, as it looks as though this may be a 'what if' question?
If you are working at the moment then the reason you leave/left your job will be a factor too.0 -
We are both out of work and franticly looking, will take anything with in reason. My wife has been out of work long term, no maternity or anything.
Yes I am currently getting child and working TC 30+hrs, but I have to tell them I was laid off.
If I tell them we are both unemployed can we still get it?
I need to go to JC tomorrow, not looking forward to it hate that place, want to be there as little time as possible.
Can anyone tell me what we can likely get? for a couple with baby both looking for work with no income at all?0 -
So have you been laid off?
Or sacked?
In short, what is the reason for leaving your job?0 -
about 30 people where I worked all laid off, the reason was suposed to be the credit crisis, I dont know the truth.

Ah right, ok. There won't be any sanctions to worry about then.
I think it will be JSA then, and your ctc should increase once you tell them. You will no longer get wtc though.
Did you claim the £500 maternity (surestart) grant?0 -
yes thanks got that b4 baby was born.
Any idea actual figures?
I want to work out if we can aford to stay here, we rent 2 bed flat, but its about 900mnth?
Its in Mill Hill expensive area, maybe have to move somewhere cheaper?0
