not bring billed by bt

Hi, i wonder if anybody has experience of this. I have had BT broadband since july 2007, and thought i had a direct debit set up. However i'm having a bit of an overhaul of my finances, and i don't think i have being paying anything! i've been paying my line rental at the post office, but my bt account has disappeared. I have always been connected to the internet though. Now i need to get this sorted (and i hate bt call centres with a vengeance!) but wondered if i will face a huge bill, or pay in installments etc. I need a new PC too, as this one has stopped letting me download anything, open attachments etc. Would this be connected to my broadband is it a fault with my computer. Sorry to be asking so many questions, but i'm confused.

Sorry that last sentence should be 'is this to do with my broadband or my computer?'

Theres a sticky thread on the top of this board the tells you about malwarebytes and spybot, get them programs follow the instructions and clean your pc up.

Have you got an uptodate virus scanner? and do you have it running/setup correctly. AVG is the most popular free one.
