I would still try free cycle,maybe people like me who have cruised and dont wear the dress again ,due to having the same photos taken ,bet someone would be glad to lend or sell cheap ,I would have but Iam a 12 thats why I asked you sizes.

where abouts do you live? someone could lend you one?! I know I personally have 4 dresses in my wardrobe. All ball gowns that are ankle length and in your size.

If you can find a Roman Originals, they often have nice Cocktail and evening wear in larger sizes, I got a beautiful red evening dress, size 16, a few weeks ago for £26

Do you have a Next Clearance shop near you? I got a lovely dress for a posh do I was going to for 9 quid and it should have been about 60. It was below the knew but a nice satin material, and well cut. I'm a 16/18 and it was perfect and I've worn it a few times since, still looks great. I also went to TK Maxx for accessories, bag, jacket, scarf. Both are definitely worth a look although Next Clearance is nowhere near as good as they used to be now alot of it is the Lime range.
