Well the printer I recommend is above as I said. Its cheap to run, it scans/prints on to paper and dvd/cd's and its better quality than my old printer Epson R300

  • I bought Canon MP 460 multi-purpose from Argos last Xmas for £25, a nice piece of kit.I have just bought two new cartridges (not Canon) but still cost £25, It probably would be better to chuck it away and buy a new one. The Epson S20 looks good and the cartridges seem cheap

It's important to remember here that the expensive inkjet cartridges are pricey for a very good reason! .. it depends how the manufacture has designed the printer and where the print heads are.
My Canon MP201 for example has the heads attached to the cartridge (wonderful 4 in 1 btw) .. my older Epson had the head built into the printer body.
Of course for a normal user it's easier to replace a cartridge than a whole printer when the print head clogs up .. and you effectively get a new machine this way!

Bought cheapest Lexmark. Found filling cartridges in situ less mess after drilling appropriate holes.

  • hi ..

we have got a kodak esp 5 , weve hade it since june 2008 , a lot of people have complained about it , but we have not encounted anything at all , apart from we had to update the firmware on it .. also it can be a bit noisy .. plus the ink is just £15.99 for all black & colour .. also its a 3 in 1 - scanner / printer / photo copier .. plus its even cheaper now £99.00 on amazon ..

also our old printer was a epson R300 we had that from 2005 to 2008 great printer , but the price of those inks £43.00 terrible , when i found this kodak one i bought it for the price of the inks plus the scanner & photo copier ..

    see you from kerry ..
