i can see myself getting one of these once they have a chip resetter and 3rd party refills http://www.staples.co.uk/ENG/Catalog/cat_sku.asp?CT=1&Description=UK_CL_Laser+Printer+-+Colour&CatIds=21797,89060,90503&webid=395517&affixedcode=WW or for non colour http://www.ebuyer.com/product/148076 at under £40 for a laser what more do you wantGOOGLE it before you ask, you'll often save yourself a lot of time.0

We've just bought a Canon iP4500, which is great - well designed, solid, fantastic print quality, and (non-Canon) cartridges for ~£1.40 on eBay.0

I would definitely second the suggestions of a laser printer. Toner cartridges last absolutely ages and cost only a fraction more than replacement inkjet cartridges.
The laser printer I'm using at the moment is a HP LaserJet 1018, and replacement cartridges for it are around £30 (though I haven't shopped around), while my last printer was an inkjet and colour cartridges for that cost £20-£25!
One of the good things about laser printers too, is that there's no wet ink in the system. Meaning no nozzles have to be cleaned, and the ink doesn't end up drying up if you don't print for a while. I'm the kind of guy who goes on a printing rampage and then doesn't touch the printer for months at a time. I started up my printer again the other day to print off a coupon and it's like I never turned it off. Couldn't do that with my old inkjet.

When you buy a printer you need to look at the costs to maintain it. People don't and are shocked when they run out of ink. Epson printers are the cheapest to use when it comes to new ink cartridges, but you need the compatible cartridges for the best deals. There are some good companies to look at, here are 2: www.inkworldwide.co.uk and www.cartridgesave.co.uk
Check epson ink or epson ink cartridges on Google.
Godd luck!
