Yes I find if I access it using Firefox, the text/links on the heading line overlap so the links end up pointing to the wrong entries

Its OK when I use IE, so what people see might depend on browser used and "pluggins/addons" etc

They must have put up the announcement in a hurry... I mean come on, it's not as if they have a lot to do or anything :-)
You're spelling is effecting me so much. Im trying not to be phased by it but your all making me loose my mind on mass!! My head is loosing it's hair. I'm going to take myself off the electoral role like I should of done ages ago and move to the Caribean. I already brought my plane ticket, all be it a refundable 1.
  • Hopefully this answers the queries about fixed term rates from further up the thread ... doesn't hint at what interest rates ING will give for the variable ones ... if ING are true to form, it will no doubt be low.

The following is posted on the ING site that you get directed from the Kaupthing edge webpage http://www.ingdirect.co.uk/kaupthingedge.asp
    today (14th) :-

    PAYMENT UPDATE
ING Direct is continuing to work through the backlog of payments and can also confirm that customers will not lose interest because of this delay.

    FIXED TERM PRODUCTS UPDATE
Those customers with deposits in a Fixed Term Savings product can be assured that these rates will be honoured by ING Direct.
We are fully committed to returning services to normal as quickly as possible and we will continue to keep you updated, via this page, on further progress.

Does anyone know what interest rate ING are offering on the accounts they took over from Kaupthing? I can't seem to see it anywhere.

It's been a month or so now since it all went pear shaped so I guess they must have made up their minds by now...

    4.55% gross now I'm afraid.

ING are taking the opportunity to reduce savings rate from 6.55% to 4.55% AER which is a 2% drop compared to the 1.5% base rate cut.

To be fair though, the base rate was cut last month by 0.5% and the kaupthing rate didn't change.

I'm not too sure - I used to be on a gross rate of 6.36% with Kaupthing Edge, and after checking my account today, have found out that ING Direct have indeed dropped me down to a gross rate of 4.46%; which is disappointing, as the main reason I signed up for the Kaupthing Edge account was to receive as much interest as possible on a given account, seeing as I'm an unemployed student and thus can get the gross rate, making the Kaupthing Edge account much more attractive than an ISA.

All that has changed now, however - my Barclays Tax Heaven ISA far outweighs the Kaupthing Edge rate. Oh well - nothing good can ever last all that long.

Thanks for letting me know. I've just logged on and can see it for myself on the account page!

My 31 October interest seems to have been calculated at 6.55% p.a.

Did the interest rate change from 1 November?
