Bit later than 27 Oct, but Icelandic were doing flight and 3 nights hotel for the price of 2 from £199, 1 Nov to 22 Mar.

which airlines fly to iceland? do any go from southwest?

Iceland Express fly from Stanstead - I am flying to Reykjavik at the end of the month (competition win!!)

However when i have looked up the current exchange rate the Icelandic Krone appears to have disappeared from a large number of foreign exchange operators??

I looked last week and the amonut of Krone to the pund had gone up a lot but now i can hardly find anywhere offering it - any advice anyone??

Thought I would bump this one up. Still some good deals on icelandair - 3 night breaks in early december for under £279 incl northern lights trip.
Thats when I am going and staying at Hotel Cabin.
Any tips on places to eat? Or places to go - blue lagoon, any good horse riding places.
I've got a guide book but nothng like getting tips from real people.
ps. I'll be taking £££ an changing it there, think the rate is 200 ish Kron = £1
