Any Iceland short-break cheapies?

Well after my post we went in October. Had a fantastic time you won't be dissapointed, but even with the fallen exchange you will still notice that things aren't cheap - but reasonable for a capital city.
The Blue Lagoon is AMAZING as is the Golden Circle tour, the night life is great at the weeknd if thats your thing (but doesn't start until after midnight!) Food wise it depends on your budget, the Seafood Cellar is supposed to be pricey but something really special - unfortunatley it was fully booked when we were there. For snacks there is a nice cafe called cafe Paris which has a nice atmosphere for a drink and a late afternoon / early evening snack.
The City is quite small and there are plenty of bars etc around, the Icelanders are realtively friendly and its a really unique place to go - you will have a great time, and don't forget to wrap up!!

Hmm no, more like a pair of boots and thick socks - no room for glamour in minus temperatures!!!
