It's about some wallabies eating poppies in a huge poppy field in Oz, getting high on them, and hopping round in circles making crop circles :rotfl:0 -
:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
'Stoned' opium-munching wallabies create crop circles by crashing through poppy fields
By Richard Shears
'High as a kite': The wallabies chew on the poppy heads and then hop in circles
Wallabies are getting stoned on poppies and are making their own crop circles as they lose all sense of balance and direction.
The extraordinary scenes are being played out in officially-operated poppy fields in Tasmania, the large island state south of the Australian continent and which is the world's largest producer of legally-grown opium for the pharmaceutical market.
Tasmania's Attorney-General, Lara Giddings, said the wallabies were getting so stoned after hopping into the poppy fields and chewing the heads of plants that they ended up hopping around in circles.
'While doing this, they squash the poppies and create circles in the fields.'
She reported the bizarre scenes to a State's Budget Estimates hearing.
'They get as high as a kite and go around in circles and then they crash, ' she said.
'We see crop circles in the poppy industry from wallabies that are high.'
Mr Rick Rockliff, a manager of one of the fields said the problem extended beyond wallabies - wildlife and livestock which ate the poppies were also known to 'act weird', including deer and sheep.
'There have been many stories about sheep that have eaten some of the poppies after harvesting and they all walk around in circles,' Mr Rockliff told the The Mercury newspaper.
'But as growers we try our best to try and stop this sort of consumption, particularly by livestock, due to concerns about the contamination of the meat.'
Some 500 farmers grow the poppy to supply the pharmaceutical market with around 50 per cent of the world's raw material for morphine and other opiates.
When she revealed details about the stoned wallabies, Miss Giddings was answering questions about the security of Tasmania's poppy stocks.
The Estimates Committee heard that there had been 17 thefts, resulting in 2,280 poppy heads being stolen in the last financial year.1.11.09 - debt = £45k:eek:

EA everytime anyone asks your always having macds for lunch how do u get away with it?! I have 3 chips and i put on about a stone its unfair!
Haha i do put on weight like that to. Its OH who wants it not me, he's one of them that can eat whatever they like and doesn't put on an ounce lol.
Whereas i have to not eat for the rest of the day just to not put on weight lol.
We didn't go in the end anyway, didn't have anything as i said it would be busy then said he could make the decision for where to go and he wouldn't make one, so i was being stubborn and just sat there lol.

lol my OH does that too so i just sit there and wait then he complains later hes hungry and its his own fault  In the end I have to make him something to eat tho cos he could burn a potnoodle given half a chance0

He'll moan he's hungry later but its not my problem
lol.
I had greggs for breakfast (as i hadn't ate in over 12 hours cause of my blood test) and it has still filled me up. And i also bought my mug into work so i might make myself some soup

You guys who are playing with your temps, the only valid reading you get is your waking BBT. It is fun to play, but activity increases your body temp, as does eating/drinking etc so those temps are not an accurate way to assess your body temp with regard to possible pg temp increase.
I've only just got it so playing to make sure I know how to use it and that it works before I start testing properly. Good job I didnt coz I hadnt understood that I had to wait for it to beep. The readings were one immediately after the other as well so hadn't moved/eaten/done anything so shouldn't really have been increasingMummy to Thomas born April 27th 2010 8lb 5oz0 -
Hiya all
I was contemplating reading all of this thread, but I think Il do that at the weekend LOL.
Oh and I have decided that the time is right for us to start a family, we've agreed that we are going to try not to become obsessed with getting a BFP, instead ive come off the pill ( 2 months ago ) and we've shown Durex the door. Been in for a smear, and general health check ( god I sound so organised! ) and bought some folic acid....so here goes...im very very excited at starting a family, and cant wait to be a mummy, but im pooing my pants at the whole thing too ( is that normal? )
So anyway, hope to become a part of this thread, and get preggers and have some fun in the mean time.

I dont test in the morning, only because im not offically charting this month. Im just having a play around to.
If no BFP on sat then im going to start charting then
My thermometre beeps over and over when its taken the reading, it scared me at first as in the instructions it says it will beep continuously if it detects a fever lol.
But i think it means beeps for longer than 5 beeps

Cool, I hope that didn't come across patronising, sorry if it did! I just didn't want you guys to get your hopes up from non-BBT temps
I played about a lot with mine for the fun of it, and to get the positioning right under my tongue.
Need to pop into town and try to find a shrug or capelet to go with my dress for a ball on saturday, have just had a few more ideas though and have been thrown into confusion! The theme is "vintage vegas" so was going to do a 40s style dress with seamed tights and try to glam the dress up but its a lovely dress but is a day dress so its a bit dull, so have been considering wearing my wedding dress (when else will I get to wear it again?! And thats quite vegas -not sure if its vintage though!) or getting my corset out and trying for a showgirl look... any ideas girls?!Never argue with an idiot, he just brings you down to his level and beats you with experience.0
