thanks guys i have had a wee read and it looks right enough that they cant enforce it so im happy to rip it up and ignore anything they send to me :beer:0

I will go against the other replies here, take proper advice from somewher like CAB if you are going to ignore it.
PLEASE don't take advice on legal matter from well intentioned but not qualified people on something that could cost you a lot, its not other forum members that have to deal with the consequences if they are wrong
You are assuming that no one who has advised is legally qualified, or has any experience of contract law?
Believe me, asking the CAB is completely pointless, because they will really have no grasp of what is involved.
OP, if you are still unsure in light of what Rebal has said, get on to the parking forums at www.pepipoo.com and this will explain all about the law of contract and how it relates to private car parks.
Perhaps you, Rebel, might like to take a look too? You might learn something.0 -
I've actually been on the pepipoo site there is some interesting stuff there, however I have had some legal training myself, albeit a LONG time ago and one thing I learnt is you never give advice without knowing all the details, the OP has not supplied these so nobody can safely advise imho.
Whilst you are probably right about CAB they are better than nothing and more likely to get additional information than anyone posting on an internet forum.
My personal solution would be to contact a motoring organisation, but I did not want to assume the OP had access to a motoring organisation as I do.0 -
NB I should say, I am NOT saying any of the advice given above is wrong, I simply don't know, what I am saying is its better to be safe than sorry.0

I'd be pretty sorry if I voluntarily handed over money to an organisation that has no legal ability to force me to do so.0
