Help??! Need to choose phone / internet provider

I am about to move in to a rental property (due to relationship breakdown). I will have a 12 month tenancy so can sign up for a 12 month deal.

I need to decide who to get phone / internet though but I'm a bit overwhelmed! Cheap is good, I use internet daily for emails and surfing ... I online for prob about 8 hours a day sometimes. I would like to do a little downloading but not much.

Can anyone help me??
