Invoice Date versus Order Date at “TheLink.com” and eligibility for CashBack?
Options
Background facts:
Ordered Samsung E350 from TheLink.com on “18 months free line rental” (T-Mobile Offer) via cash back from TheLink.com on Sunday 4th December.
Order in process and “Contract application with network awaiting decision” as of close of business on Monday 5th December.
Cashback terms state eligible for cashback “when you purchase Samsung e530 ….. at the Link Direct from 29/11/2005 to 05/12/2005”.
The Issues:
My concern is that “purchase” is only completed when TheLink send their “third email” (as per Dixons Group standard practice to protect them from “mispricings”) and that this will not occur until T-Mobile approve contract and goods are shipped.
What has prompted my concern is a recollection of postings on OneStopPhoneShop if I recall correctly where orders took several days to process and hence they “missed” eligibility for “cashback”.
As I prefer to have the discussion/argument with TheLink now rather than in 12 months when seeking first cashback payment called their “aftersales help desk”.
· I was informed it typically takes several days for TheLink to have new contracts accepted with networks (seems strange as CPW group appear to do it within hours for online sales).
· I stated that clearly I would wish to cancel the contract if it fell out of cashback eligibility.
· I was assured the order date would apply.
Any experience or advice from fellow MSEs?
Thanks in advance

I am in same situation with the 6630 offer - spoke to someone today who assured me that all would be fine but I would like something in writing...I think....0

I have a V3 on a link offer in march this year, I got it on the last day of the promotion but it arrived a week later. The only thing that matters is the date on the reciept, mine arrived seperatly from the phone so until I got the reciept I left the phone and the sim in the box, until the reciept verified the purchase date.
I've now had 2 cashbacks with no problem from them0
