How can I spellcheck my postings on the MSE Forum - my typing is so awful, and I am slightly dyslexic, too...drives me crazy when I only notice the errors after submitting

If you're using IE, get IESpell.
The next version of Vbulletin has a spellcheck button - but it actually uses IESpell and if you don't have it installed, it tells you to go and get it
For Firefox, Spellbound0 -
Also you can edit your own posts if need be

Me too innovate, I sometimes have to edit my postings 3 or 4 times. I tend to just cut and paste from word.2 heads are better than 1….unless they are on the same body!0 -
Good, there's at least one other dude with the same probs :rotfl:
I had to resort to editing before as well, but much prefer to get things right first time. Hopefully I'll be ok now - any future mistakes, I'll just blame Spellbound :cool:0 -
Make that at least two other dudes.
Trouble is, as well as mispelling words, a lot of time I also get words muddled, so unfortunately spill chuckers don't help with that.
*sigh* Still waiting for the Brain71 OS patch that will fix the problem.

I'm always quite cautious of such tools, but this one is really worth the time and effort to download. Thanks!

Hi Innovate - don't worry about bad spelling, I am the worst and I do not have any excuse. As long as you can make your comment understood, who cares. I assume there will be the odd teacher on going tut tut, but get a life I say.
Go on type away!!

Happened to me at first, too - I presume you have already installed the UK English Dictionary? You then need to make sure this is active, i.e. shows under "Language" at the bottom of the spellcheck box, then it should work. Restart FF is necessary.
It's really quite good!! I love those Opensource programming folks!!0
