Will we see our Icesave cash before Christmas

Since Icesave crashed and froze our accounts last week, we are really no wiser as to what is happening to our money!
Who is paying us and when will we receive the forms, what is the estimated time we will see money back?
These are all question we want an answer to!
Yes thank you Gordon Brown & Alistair Darling for saying we will all get our money back, but we need to be kept informed.
If we search the FSA or FSCS there are no new updates, we have to search news sites for the latest information.
We were told by the FSCS we would hear by last Friday, now it's this Friday, I have read somewhere that forms will go out next week?
While I appreciate that things do take time, and unlike some people we don’t need the money now, it's for our future, I sympathize with those that need the money now or very soon.
We need to be kept informed; it's not too much to ask is it?
GB, AD, FSA & FSCS give us a quick but regular update please (it takes minutes to keep us informed), stop the concern, worry and speculation of the 300,000 UK investors!

agree totally -but when ???0 -
I asked the question by email of when we will get some more information about when the forms are going to be posted to ICESAVE customers. I got an automated response...typical....they are struggling i think with actually having to act on the service that they stated they would provide.....clearly not geared up to deal with such a problem. Its all very well the government stating all deposits are safe, but it might be a long time before we see any of it.

I am not sure why they cant just put a claim form online ? It was an online bank after all ! I'm guessing thats too simple and they will want some form of proof of deposit.
They did say that we should know by tomorrow Friday so I am hoping they have it sorted by then
For what it is worth I am told the Dutch have already sent forms out to depositors"The whole problem with the world is that fools and fanatics are always so certain of themselves, but wiser people so full of doubts."

I think that we Icesavers should have pen ( or keyboard ) at the ready to write to our respective MP's, so that if the FSCS do not have a concrete plan tomorrow for how and WHEN we are going to recover our money then we start lobbying our local MP's. And hopefully some of them will raise questions in the House of Commons perhaps at Prime Ministers Questions.
By my reckoning if there are 300,000 Icesavers and roughly 650 MP's in Parliament then that means that each MP in the country has about 461 Icesavers in his constituency. Now all of these votes could be crucial at the next election, for instance i happen to know that my local MP has an extremely small majority and these 461 votes could tip the balance.
It should i think be fairly easy to get one's local MP's email adress as it should be available on the House of Commons website.0 -

I have said this to my husband and will be doing this shortly.Everything has its beauty but not everyone sees it.0 -
Message sent to my MP. The trouble is that this is getting so big now and from this article it says we don't get all the money back! I'm totally confused and swinging from feeling ok about it to total despair - it really is unfair to keep us waiting like this

I am in total agreement with you, our feelings are the same, I am far less confident this week than I was last week, all I am looking for is a little update.
Some people come back and say Patience, Sit & Wait, I have that and can do nothing but sit & wait, but all we are looking for is a little more information.
As far as we were told and still led to believe Domestic Savers, (the likes of us) will see all our money back, it's the like of the Councils, Police Forces & Chaities that are not offered the money back that is owed by Iceland (the first £16,500 approx).Everything has its beauty but not everyone sees it.0
