i was with lloyds 38 years and after the last year of bad service went to first direct. the last few week have been very bad they have lost two isa accounts that i moved with my partner, plus they never paid the £50.00 for opening a new account with them i rang 3 times and got told lies about the isa and then got told it was just a mistake they had forgot to pay £50.00 in . this bank are so fast at getting you to open accounts then after that cant even contact you . very poor service now.

Well my personal experience has been that they have been excellent. I had to prod them over my 3x£25 for signing people up, but I was just being impatient really. If they would only offer a top rate of interest I would use them as my main current account.

Do first direct still offer incentives if you refer a friend?? Ive been on the site and it says if you switch they give you £50 but nothing about referring.
