Sorry, I'm a bit late to this post, but I have a bed from KennelMate (www.kennelmate.co.uk) and have been very pleased with it. I'm not sure how they compare price-wise with what else has been suggested, but every month you can win one - so might be worth a try! I have dealt a number of times with this company - I think it is a small, family-run outfit - and they have always been most helpful. My bed is in my dog's outside kennel and has survived for the last four years unharmed!

  • I have bought a waterproof dog bed from Clever Canine www.clevercanine.co.uk and it has been great. So easy to clean, having a large labrador I need it! The price and quality were great too!

I got a waterproof single duvet, got me mam to cut it in half and sew the two halves up with thick, strong thread on her sewing machine.
Ended up with two waterproof beds for the price of one. My pooch loves it because the duvet fluffs up around him when he lays down  . And it also worked out a lot cheaper than buying an actual pet bed.

  • My dog has just chewed up her vetbed so need something else, does anyone else's dog chew, if so which one would you recommend. I can't afford to keep buying beds - duvets are especially a no no (think big fluffy clouds!)

Just go down the market and buy some cheap ones. We brought a £40 bed from RSCPA which the dog hates and then we brought a big bouncy £3 one from the market which she loves and looks adoreable curled up asleep on. Once it gets dirty we just chuck it in the bin and buy a new one and as we tried to wash it once and the amount of water, power, soap powder and time it was on the washing line was awful. Then it lost all its shape. So now every few months we just go down the market and buy a new one.
