Virgin rip off my daughter!

My daughter went on Virgin radio two months ago on a competition called kids court. They promised her £60 to go towards a nintendo ds that she is desperate for, 8 weeks later there is still no money from them and even though I ring every week to ask where it is I get fobbed off. My daughter watches for the post every day and the irony of it was she was on virgin radio debating the value of money. Last week they gave a 25,000 for a joke so why not make my daughter happy and giver the £60 they promised her!

Write a calm, polite, but firm letter to Richard Branson's office.
You are not likely to get an instant response but I am sure they will respond, and you will get something extra as well.
I complained to his office a few years ago about an Upper Class flight that was anything but upper class. Eventually I got a two page apology and 2 upper class return flights to New York!0 -
Thank you for your advice, do you have his address please?0

I'm sure that Virgin as a company aren't intentionally ripping your daughter off for £60 its really not worth it for them. I'm sure that it is far more likely that there has been some sort of error made and you are unfortunately gettting through to the wrong people when you call in.
You don't mention where you are calling, but presumably you are calling the radio station. Have you tried calling one of their competition lines? Might get somewhere like that, especially if you express more than anger, no one is ever very obliging or helpful to angry people unless it is through fear, but the disappointment of your daughter, perhaps get your daughter to call, I'm sure you will get their sympathies from that.0 -

Same thing happen to my brother when he won a formula 1 day out for 2 a couple of years ago , to go track side and meet jenson button at the british grand prix he phoned a couple of weeks before and they said had no trace of him winning the compitition and someone else had won.
He wrote a letter saying our father had flown all the way from australia just for this day and we had tapes of him winning the comp which we was true in both cases and we wanted our airfare back. two days later a registered letter arrived with details of how to get our passess etc.
The only conclusion we had was someone decided to keep it for themselves and got scared we threatend to sue.0 -
I rang the person who deals with the competitions and told him how long ago she had been on. I ring weekly and get nothing. I even spoke to the lady who got my daughter on the competition on the Pete and Geoff show.
If is was me I would not be so worried but my daughter is so upset, she is only nine.
When I ring up I am calm and explain what is going on but you are right, maybe I should get her to call. Going to give them the weekly call again tomorrow lol0 -
I was told I'd won a set of Nivea goods from virgin Radio and they would turn up in 4-6 weeks. That was 3 months ago. I'm still waiting.0

Why would you write to Richard Bransonas far as I an aware he does not own virgin radio but SMG (scottich Media Group) do he sold years ago to Chris Evans and then it was sold to SMG.
So going to look a little silly if you did write to him.
