Don't forget if listing media items to get them all listed ASAP as the free postage malarky starts in a couple of weeks.

  • Hi I do currently sell with ebay, as a private seller, do you lovely people who make several hundreds a month have a shop or are you a private seller, also do you have buisness accounts with paypal if so are they easy to manage, sorry to be nosey, just looking to expand my ebay sales, which are just carboot finds at the moments, would be grateful of any advice. I have got 79 items on ebay at the moment, but want to get the money rolling in without things getting too complicating. thanks:beer:

If you are selling off your own things then you are a private seller and should stay that way. If you buy things to sell, even second hand things from a car boot then you are a business and need to amend your ebay account to show you are a business, you'll also have to register with HMRC.

Some of us have several accounts, proper business ones which are registered with HMRC and on which we pay tax, but also private ones where we sell off our [STRIKE]old junk[/STRIKE] oops, sorry highly collectable bric a brac!
