    HELP please....

    I sold a wardrobe from my boys soon - did a buy it now / collection only. Experienced furniture restorer bought it - paid paypal and arranged for a courier.

    Courier could do this Thurs - I could then couldnt (DS3 just started school, parttime, and I have meetings for both ds3 and dd1 on thurs and am to and from school 4 times on thurs and ended not being able to do thurs.

    The new wardrobe and chest is coming on tues - new date for old wardrobe set for next thurs. I cant even easily do thurs - thurs are a logistical nightmare.

    BUT I CANT STORE THE OLD FURNITURE ANYWHERE!!! - small house severely disabled ds2 - I wont even be able to change him on the sitting room floor which is what we have to do at the moment.

    neg on its way. I can see that Ill have to refund, and stick it on freecycle, and loose £100 which is going towards a new wheelchair.

    HELP!!!!!!!!:eek::eek:

    Don't panic! Why has the buyer arranged the courier? Presumably the buyer can take delivery of the item any day? What's wrong with Friday or Monday for collection by courier?
    Email your buyer and explain your problem. They still have time to arrange something.

    Firstly I would be strongly objecting to any buyer who arranges a courier without your express permission. Courier collection is NOT the same as collection in person when you and a buyer can choose a mutually available time when you cna both do it. I would not allow a courier in these circumstances.

    Also, what about the paypal issue, you don't have fully tracked delivery to the buyers door do you, and even if you get a receipt you would need it online to show that the address you 'sent' the item to is the paypal one given to you.

    This is an absolute nightmare, put your foot down, tell the buyer he needs to collect it himself and since you can't actually refuse the paypal payment try bribing the buyer with a small cash discount if he will allow you to refund his paypal and allow him to bring cash instead.

  • I go to the Post Office every day during the week and 2 Saturday's a month (OH works the other 2). Luckily thought the Post Office is at the end of my road so can walk and it only takes a couple of minutes. I don't tend to like going to other Post Offices though as the one I go to they know how I work and I know how they do, I have a set way of doing things.

    Only 1 new listing today, no relists though as I can't be bothered.
