Two finished today and both sold making £29.99, total so far has exceeded what I was aiming for for September, will update signature when all the waiting for payments have come in, so am well pleased.
Got 92 active at the minute, did 8 re lists last night, but think I might slow down a bit for the rest of the month with new ones and save those till October, with a bit of luck people might be looking for Christmas bargains:rotfl:.
I know its only September, and shouldnt mention the C word but have any of you sold around that time, just wondered what the sales are like0 -
Hi
Not too early to mention Xmas, I have my girls presents already, got the eldest 2 a Leapster 2 each, got them from Littlewoods online last Xmas and I got two for the price of one roughly. Got mine for £25 each. I have my sealed pot for £2 coins which is for Xmas presents, got all the Xmas cards left from last year, am also saving my Boots points towards Xmas too, have £8.95 so far, I'm also keeping my eyes out for bargains.

Sure christmas will be great whatever, having familly about is more important that lots of expensive pressies:D
Do you use mailing bags instead of wrapping the up in brown paper?, just wondering if it works out cheaper?0 -
I'm poor too. Have my kids stuff already just need a few more bits (am not going over the top this year). I'm saving my £2 coins in a sealed tin for Xmas presents, I have my Boots Advantage points which I'm saving so if I need tablets or baby wipes I buy them from Boots to get the points and then will spend them in there at Xmas.
My big sealed pot (which is for the Sealed Pot Challenge) is all going to come off a debt so I'm chucking everything I can in there at the moment, it's so heavy I can hardly move it and there is still lots of room left.
I've done 6 new listings today and am about to do some relists in a minute.

I also use the mailing bags and buy padded envelopes from Poundland for overseas items.

ive been getting my bubble wrap, paper and padded envelopes from pound land too.
Trouble is I get a bit carried away with the packing, and end up with a parcel that could go as large letter ending up as a small packet cause ive used too much bubble wrap:rolleyes:
will look into the mail bags0 -
i buy a pack of mix sized mailers in jolly colours! [im sad] and also go to poundland.
the brown paper thing just takes up too much time if i have 12 or so parcels a day and i print labels instead of hand writing them and i have bubblewrap too...
im almost like a mini DHL!

I've just seen brightly coloured jiffy bags from an ebay seller..unfortunately they are full priced whereas the brown ones from the same seller are buy 2 boxes get one free but I am so tempted to buy bright red jiffys.
Mad isn't it to even consider paying an extra 2p or so a bag just because they are pretty. Maybe one day when the business side of things makes me a fortune!
Our pound shop cut the number of jiffy's in a pack to 6 so they are not cheap enough any more for a miser like me.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards.
