Welcome everybody - old and new.

How are you getting on with the new spam button? I very nearly pressed it for brighty's message - oops!

I have spent a good hour looking through my eBay mountains that need to be sold to try and motivate myself but it just made even more down. So I just got a charity bag and filled it with children's clothes. Yes I could probably have made some pennies selling them on eBay but they have sat there for at least two years and would probably still be there in another two years and as they are lower value items, I'm better off working on the mountains that will make some decent money.

Not planning to do this type of clear out too often but every now and then will help me going (I hope). Anyway will pop back on Sunday to see how you are all doing.

Well done Floxxie - nothing to feel bad about. You have raised money for charity - good karma :) Plus clearing your house a bit will make you feel like you have achieved something and keeping things more achievable for yourself will help motivate you again.

hi all... sorry been bit busy and not listed [oooo im bad!]

today i have the feeling i have been completely shafted [can i say that on here?] sold item, buyer paid by echeque - which i hadnt said was a method but she did. cheque cleared and i sent off item. there was about 2 weeks delay between her winning it and the money clearing and then i posted immediately. today i get mailed that she has opened a dispute and no comms other than that. she say she didnt receive it, i have proof of post but thats all.
she is foreign but in the uk - polish i think or something - so i am horrified and i always mail my buyers to say item is being posted to day and if any probs then contact me. well she just do a dispute. i refund the 13.50 and then she must have accepted it so its now closed. oh and i forgot to say - she is nolonger listed on ebay - i mean registered user. have i been shafted? feels like that to me....

ps must do more listing as only have bids of £17.00

mrscmr, you're not having a good time are you? Firstly as you ahve proof of postage, I would pu a claim into the post office; you'll have to print off your eBay listing and there may be a chance that your 'buyer' won't respond to the RM but it is worth a go.

In terms of her no longer being registered, I guess she has either closed her account or been kicked off. I don't know what you can do, if anything, about the latter. Soolin will be sure to have some ideas if there is anything that can be done.

Anyway get those forms filled in (they are on the RM site and I believe you can get them from the PO as well) and then you'll feel a lot better!

Hi mrscmr, Print the forms off, and wait the 15 days to send off, and try and forget about it. Some buyers are just nightmares for no apparent reason.
She may have used paypal to pay, but paypal sometimes send echeques instead of paypal payments. I think that I read on the ebay boards that it could be that they arent verified completely, or dont have the right cards linked to paypal. She may have got impatient as she didnt know that it wasnt a straightforward paypal account.
(I had that last year with a Cypriot buyer in Kent - I emailed her immediately on the echeque clearing, but again, it was about 2 weeks).

You are a great seller with very happy buyers, and you are doing really well.

I think we all have days when doing car boots looks far more appealing than the unlevel playingfield of ebay. Ebay isnt fair, but we all get a fantastic buzz when a buyer is delighted with their purchases - especially the more bizarre ones!

I hope this morning you are feeling better about it and do some serious listing!!

My buyer hasnt paid yet - Im feeling that the conspiracy theory may be true - she has paid for loads of similar items since- just not mine. I feel a NPB coming on followed by a neg, and am feeling pretty powerless. I have sent 2 invoices, and an email - 4 days and counting!!!

Im going to have a busy day listing....:rotfl:

I have just bought a 'bizarre' item - a postcard showing a river with a large tree trunk and stile where I spent loads of time playing as a small child. The tree is no longer there, but it brought back so many memories, I just had to have it!!! One very happy buyer!!!!

Well I have just sold 2 items, a grand total of £11.03!! Not brilliant, but not bad! Another few ending today, but no watchers and no bidders!
