I had same issue with missing items and I think some people are just pure mean!! I now use the paypal postage thingy cos as i understand it they get an email to say that you have printed/paid for the postage? If they still want to pretend they haven't received it then they must have big kahoonas!
I'd like to join too btw - 20 a week i think is realistic for me but then I get lazy and don't list as well as I could and you get whole new problems then! I cut and paste basic listing info that I put on every listing in worddoc and that way i can cut and paste it each time and not re-write it....

I am sorting through piles of carp... I mean stuff... I feel like I am drowning in it.... However I need your help guys, I have a buyer wanting to buy an item off me, & she has low feedback, under 50 all poistive, & she says that she lives in Holland, so no problem, as I would send via International Signed for & make sure the item is covered for £500. However her ebay account is saying she is in Italy, should I be worrying or am I creating problems for myself??
Many thanks for all your help in advance.

    Ginga

Hi Ginga, what is her paypal address - that is the only one that you can send to to be covered by paypal.

Both Italy and Holland have posting issues - alot of post seems to go missing in Italy, and post from UK - Netherlands can take a month to arrive (I have dutch relatives!).

Send an email when you post, asking them to allow a few extra days.

Floxxie - its the clip on the restraint straps on each seat. Do you think that I will have any luck?

Annoyed with OH - My cot has just been collected it and he has damaged the top of it when he put it in the garage after I listed it as perfect:eek::eek:.
I have offered 20% discount, or a full refund if unhappy.

Better note though - sold an empty perfume bottle - and the buyer has sent me a fantastic email and loves it.

    Oh the ups and downs!!

    hi all!

I have zero items up on ebay at the moment! i don't like it! but i have no energy to do any listings. Hope to get some done at the weekend.
I sold a mobile phone box for £6 yesterday! odd.
Posted an item off to Italy today, and so starts the worry until it (hopefully) gets there!

    Invalid category.
The category selected is not a leaf category.

I dont understand what a leaf category is and its not showing up in the help search box, i used a template to create these listings and I know the template works as Ive used it before, please can someone help or let me know is if they are having the same problem so I know itsnot just me!!

They've made some changes to various categories. I don't know the in and outs but saw something on the eBay board about changes to eBay. They happened on the 16th.

LHB, try it. You will surprised by what people need for their P&Ts!
What empty perfume bottle did you sell? I have several and might just put them to give them a go.

Too knackered to list anything tonight. Must do it for Sunday now...no excuses.

  • ah, yes the category i am using has changed http://www2.ebay.com/aw/uk/200906.shtml#2009-06-10103839 the womens clothings category was the one I am using. Im guessing EBay hasnt fixed it yet as I tried to start a brand new listing but it still had the same error message, i hope they fix it soon...

    hello!!!:D

lots of new names on here! i haven't been on in ages! haven't listed anything new - just been relisting stuff that still hasn't sold lol!!!

just added up my totals from 3rd may until now and am amazed to see i made over £200!!

so it has motivated me to get a mammoth listing done this weekend! have lots of stuff waiting to be photogrpahed so will see how i go over the weekend.....

i have a king size mattress, a double sized wooden headboard, a computer desk, and gazebo to list. i had the mattress on ebay but set a reserve etc but it didn't sell, so i might give gumtree a go - apparently it is really picking up in N.I - think it is uk wide though - main thing being that is is free to list lol!!!:T

good luck everyone & will catch up soon! xx

Hi all - I listed 10 things last night and already got a bid on one! :) I have just had a good few weeks off ebay after hitting the wall and getting negative feedback off some looney woman that I didn't deserve.
I find listing things to finish on the weekend is effective and of course listings that end after the monthly payday for most people (approx 28th of month) of course not everyone surfs at the weekend or buys stuff after payday....

I wish everyone heaps of luck as I know how hard it is - but we WILL get there!
