thankyou to everyone who has replied even though i am crying again it has helped .i know in the past people havent understood i guess partly because they have a good relationship with their parents.tbh i dont know of anyone else who is in the same position.i hope those of you that have posted it hasnt made you feel bad because its reminded you.x0

It's a natural thing to feel. No matter how long you haven't spoken to them, or what you do or don't feel for them, they're flesh and blood, and this is perhaps your body's way of reacting to the possibility that someone who raised you that you once loved is possibly going to die, and it's telling you that this might be your last chance to rectify things if you ever wanted to.
I guess it's a bit like thee body reacting to shock.Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
