You guys seem to know what you are talking about and I now need to tap your knoweldge if poss. Please help as I am confused by the myriad of options and jargon.
Looking for a new contract for the wife.
She uses about 500 mins a month cross network.
Would like a nokia (but not the be all and end all) as she understands them and has only ever had nokias.
Don't mind doing the redemption thing.
Please help me with:
What is the best deal at the moment?
how can she keep her existing number (with O2 I think)?
Thanks very much in advance.

to keep her existing number shed have to phone 02, say she wants to port her number and ask them to give her a code, you give the code to the new service provider and your number is ported to the new sim in about a week. it doesnt cost anything. After the number is transferred your old sim will die though, hope this helps.Fr. Stack: While you were out, I got the keys to your car. And drove it into a big wall. And if you don't like it, tough. She needs about 500 xnet mins? Sounds like a 3 contract (if reception is OK where you are) on a cashback redemption deal from someone like https://www.e2save.com
Go via Greasypalm, rpoints etc for an added incentive...(money)...and then the window licker said to me...0 -
There is quite a long thread, started by matrix999, about offers from the O2 Retentions department - maybe you don't need to leave O2.

Hi Graeme,
A few questions before I can help you further.
Can you confirm where you wife signed her monthly contract with O2? Was it in an O2 Store, O2 Online or somewhere like the Carphone Warehouse?
When exactly is her contract due for renewal?0 -

It was through her old employer (who should have terminated the scheme when she left) , and although she has not paid line rental for 3 years (none at all) the calls are really dear.
Thus she can stop the contract at any time and is free to move. I don't know if O2 would fight to keep her as it is not a standard type of package the likes of you and me get.
She just wants to keep her number, and pref have a nokia (or something pink she says)
Thanks for your help, it is great.0 -
pink phones- vodafone vk (the one with diamante thingies round the outer screen) motorola razr v3 and the new lg phone on 3.Fr. Stack: While you were out, I got the keys to your car. And drove it into a big wall. And if you don't like it, tough. I've had my fun, and that's all that matters.0

Hi Graeme,
Sorry for the delay in replying, was working all day.
I've not came across something like this before, would I be correct in saying that she still does not pay any line rental? Where do her bills get sent?0
