Dear Customer
You may be aware that a small number of customers have experienced some issues in the processing of payments on their accounts. We are pleased to inform you that we have been working hard to restore normal service for Kaupthing Edge customers and to resolve the issues around these delayed payments.
In addition to the payments already made we are now able to confirm that all payments will arrive in their destination bank account by close of business Friday 17 October. There are a very small number of manual payment instructions which are still being processed and will take slightly longer.
Once again we apologise for the inconvenience and distress this delay has caused. It has taken us longer to resolve the issues at Kaupthing Edge than we expected due to the significant disruption caused when the business was taken into administration. Understandably, customers have been asking for clarification on when this issue was going to be resolved but this is the first time we have been in the position to give firm assurances.
If this issue has affected you, I would like to thank you for your patience and confirm that customers will not lose interest as a result of this delay.
Yours sincerely, Johan de Wit

despite the (undoubtedly stress-induced) slating people have been giving ING, if the above is true I think they've done a great job with this whole situation :beer:0

I agree.
If it wasn't for ING stepping in we'd be filling out forms to get our money.
Well done ING :TIf it's not a bargain, it's not worth buying0 -
We had to go away at short notice so have only come home today.
We were very worried like other people here about the missing BACS transfer so before driving off we made one last check of our online bank account (4PM last Frioday afternoon) and the funds were there.
I don't understand all the ins and outs of what happened but I have just opened three emails from ING which have been professional and reassuring.
I hope everyone here who is still unfortunately waiting to see where their transfer has gone will have better news tomorrow and on Friday. The uncertainty of it all was bad enough for us for a couple of days or so but I cannot imagine how people less lucky than we were must be feeling at the moment, despite the kind assurances of others.
Fingers crossed for a happy ending to this week for every MSE with KE savings.0 -
Still waiting (8th Oct)
Let's hope tomorrow, Friday 16th, is the day. I've got this funny feeling though...................0
