On Sat 4th I requested a BACS payment for Mon 6th for just £1k (not as a panic withdrawal, just holiday spends)... hope it turns up before I go!
    TOP MONEYSAVING TIP

Make your own Pot Noodles using a flower pot, sawdust and some old shoe laces. Pour in boiling water, stir then allow to stand for two minutes before taking one mouthful, and throwing away. Just like the real thing!

I also set a BACS transfer (20k) in progess on the 5/10/08 but as yet no show in my linked account. I've been reading the various threads but I'm unclear what action I need to take if the transfer fails to arrive in my UK account.

Just to update sent email to KE this am asking them to investigate the delay and today pm checked my linked account and the full amount is showing pending via an international CHAPS transfer!!!

I too initiated a transfer last weekend in excess of £30K - still has not arrived in my linked account Friday pm.....hope it turns up next week. My account is showing zero ...an awful lot of nice people at ING have told me not to worry ...but I am!
  • I initiated a BACS transfer last Friday for £35K, it showed up this lunchtime via CHAPS.
  • We did a BACS transfer of our savings from our KE account on Sunday night and the money arrived in my linked account today. :j

The money had disappeared from our KE account on Tuesday. I called KE yesterday and was assured it would go through but had little faith in their words. We were told that because of the vast number of withdrawls over the weekend they could not keep up with it and there was a delay even in BACS transfers.

I hope everyone reading this who is still in limbo gains some hope from this and their money turns up in their linked account.

Have had same problem did BACS transfer request on 4 Oct 08 for action on 6 Oct 08. I Phoned KE on 6 Oct 08 to confirm and they had no record of request despite me getting confirmation on 4 Oct 08 and having a transaction number. They offered manual transaction on the phone but would not provide confirmation e-mail so I declined. I then did another transfer late on 6 Oct 08 and this time funds show as debited from my KE account but like many others have never got to destination account. (Fortunateley I have kept printed copies of all request and balances etc) Have sent 7 secure messges to KE and no response. Eventually managed to speak to someone at KE yesterday who advised backlog of transfers etc with freezing of transactions after 8 Oct 08 with ING takeover (I am not totally convinced by this statement). In addition he also advised they were a call centre (08451 31 32 33) and do not work for KE this was an outsourced activity from KE (I wander who did actually work for KE in the UK?). I naturally enquired were their jobs OK and were they now employed by ING and the answer was no. In addition they have been told nothing by KE throughout all this and were relying on the media for updates. The first they knew about ING takeover was form the TV. If funds not in destination account by end of next week I will have to seek Financial advice about recovery.

I have been keeping an eye on this over the last few days.
I see that you currently can't log on to see your KE account.
    Is this a temp measure?
I assume when things have calmed down, and as customers of ING you would access from there site, but I assume you need new passwords etc for this?

I've just logged in with no problems and have had no problems logging in at all this week.
