Can't run Internet Explorer

Not sure if this is the place to ask, but hopefully I might get some help. My son has taken Internet Explorer off of our computer and replaced it with Firefox, I want to use Internet Explorer again, so tried to download it. It went through all the downloading stages, then when it came to clicking on the IE icon and actually using the internet there is nothing there! (no IE icon anywhere on the computer) I must be connecting to the internet, as I can use MSN, but I can't get any Internet up, please advise me on what to do, and appologies once again if I have posted on the wrong forum.

PS I am typing this from my other PC in case you were wondering lol

Hi Spring Chicken,

I very much doubt your son removed IE from your computer - unless
he is a bit of a computer geek. In which case, tell him to put it back. "NOW!"

So:

Go to to your C drive, click it open, click open Program Files, then
click open the Internet Explorer file . You'll see the IE icon in there.
Click it as you would normally and open the IE browser.

You cant really remove IE imo, its part of XP, you can have IE and firefox both installed on the same pc, you could have 3 web browsers installed if you wanted, why is it you want to use IE,
