Are parcelforce always this awful?

I had an item due to be delivered over a week ago, and after it didn't arrive i asked for the tracking number, which showed it had been delivered AND signed for by ME last wednesday...now i was in all day and the parcel never came.
After 30mins going round the local area it appeared my parcel had gotten delivered to a house with the same number as me,but different street, nearly half a mile away from my own house!
The woman who had it had said she signed for it thinking it was her friends who was staying with her, however the tracking slip states my initials and sir name...which was completly untrue.
Had i not found the package, i would not have been able to make a claim as it even had a signature...that was not mine may i add.
I called their customer servises but was fobbed off...not even a refund for my '24 delivery service' which was clearly not 24 hour delivery in this case as it never arrived!
Then today i recieved a parcel from parcelforce from ebay and the item had been damaged in transit.
Do they give everyone this kind of bad service?

sorry to hear the trouble you are having.
my parcelforce bloke is pretty good, apart from always delivering at 7.15am at my current address.
i think all couriers make mistakes occasionally. hardly any couriers could find my old address, it was halfway up a mountain to be fair, but they never bothered to call me for directions despite having my number, they would just state that address didn't exist or that no one was at home!
however at my old address the previous parcelforce driver would always phone me first to see if i was home before venturing up the mountain lane.0 -
I think parcel force are crap and a few others are too, then again royal mail is also a right royal load of crap too , full of numpties, agency workers and non english speaking chaps , to be honest i think if you sent a pile of dog turds it would either get lost , knicked,or delivered to the wrong address0

Parcelforce are generally okay, and have certainly improved over the last few months. There are a couple of areas that have some really bad staff/delivery drivers. They also use agent workers from time to time, who get paid per delivery made.
Make sure you complain and it gets through to the right place, in writing to the head office would be best..0 -

Anyway, parcelforce seem to have the best reputation amongst consumers, not sure if that's warranted as personally I would say they are all very much of a muchness. They all provide low cost delivery of items that would can easily cost 3 times as much with the Royal Mail. The fact is it's simply not possible to provide a personalised service, and the reality is some people really need to lower their expectations. If you want the best service use Special Delivery.0 -
