i've joined, is there not one specific to the One Account?0 -
My apologies everyone. There wasn't any sinister reason for this thread disappearing.
I removed a few off topic posts on here earlier this evening. I've just seen someone elsewhere asking why the thread had gone, I checked to see why it had been removed and it turns out I deleted the whole thing
It's a while since I've done that, sorry!Could you do with a Money Makeover?

Thanks for bringing it back up.
Now, as punishment, write a thousand times "RBS are a bunch of swindlers who should pass on the rate cut to One Account customers".
Then put them in a thousand envelopes, and post to Sir Tom McKillip0 -
Oh well, at least the conspiracy theory is dead (for now). Might as well re-post the following from the splinter thread and get back on topic::o
I reckon if we get the "under review" response for more than a week it will probably suggest another increase to the margin. I think I am correct in saying that the current rate is now pretty much the same as RBS SVR. If it was their intention to get us to this point, then maybe the full 1% is possible.
What we do know is that when they delay an announcement, it can only suggest bad news. If they intend to pass on todays 1% in full, they may well annouce this quickly and then defer it until January. Whatever happens, we must keep pressure on them to reduce the 1% increase to the margin of this mortgage applied over this year.
Just to remind everyone:
0.25% cut not passed on in April.
0.25% increase, out of the blue in July.
0.5% not passed on after the BofE Nov 1.5% cut.

Will it help if I merge the "splinter" thread into this one or would it confuse things for everyone?Could you do with a Money Makeover?

Copied from other thread...
Link on BBC Website
See who has cut mortgage rates
Interesting table at the bottom of the page which compares which lenders applied the 1.5% cut in Nov and which have applied the 1% cut in Dec. RBS appears both in its own right and with the One Account so it seems the media is now differentiating.0 -
about time they did that - I've written to the BBC twice about that table, & I know others have also.0

wow you can't turn you back for a minute...what a terrific day folks!
Having spent far too much of today stationary on the M25, the old brain's a bit frazzled a the moment so a few hours kip beckons. The one thing that is clear in my mind though is that we've got them rattled, and the momentum is very much with us. I have a few more initiatives in mind that I'll post on here tomorrow. I've also knocked up a 'decamp' website. Although it's not quite ready to be honest, someone posted the url on here earlier on, so what the heck...it's www.decampaign.org0 -

If you could just copy over the bits that weren't about the thread disappearing it would be useful. Otherwise if it has to be everything copied over, it could get confusing.0
