I have checked my small print and my one account mortgage is linked to the RBS standard variable rate, no mention of any separate One Account rate.
I've checked my ts&cs and I can't find this anywhere. Where does it say the rate is linked to RBS SVR? If this is true they are bang out of order and have to pass it on, but I was resigned to the rate not being linked to anything and RBS being free to do whatever they want.0 -
This morning's recorded message does at least acknowledge the delay " we are aware that our customers are awaiting our decision and hope for an update very soon". How soon is very soon, I wonder ?0

I have started to look around for other mortgage products but, to be honest, I havn't seen anything as flexible as the oneaccount yet:
* Fully flexible and free overpayement/underpayement
* Possibility of getting back the money overpaid if needed
* Possibility of re-morgaging or pay the mortgage off at any time without fee
* No/reduced starting fee
Does anyone no about another mortgage product with all these features?0 -

They have changed the message again now and there is now no mention of the customers eagerness to hear a decision, just the normal rate review message. What is going on????????0 -
Quite a few of the "sub prime" lenders dropped their interest rates in line with the BOE rate cut, this given to customers who have very little option to change providers.
All this just goes further to highlight the scandalous profiteering by the RBS who don't give a **** about their customers0 -
Hi - just another very irate OA customer feeling the need to vent!
Like many, I'm coming to the breaking point.
I have had enough of being treated like an idiot - we can see where BoE base rate and LIBOR are - we can see other RBS customers getting the full 1.5% cut - but are told rates are 'under review'.
As a semi-nationalised bank RBS has a moral duty to follow the goverment direction to pass on this cut in full - or why did we give them all that money?
Rant over...0 -
Maybe they are waiting to see if BOE is going to drop there rates again on the 4/12 and then drop theres that way they only have to drop the rate once and we seem greatful and forget that we could have got two rate drops!!!
Just a thought:rolleyes:0 -
