Thanks for the tip, this option could work out just as well as my current booking! I've emailed AirFrance to check on my flight details so I suppose it's just going to be a case of wait and see what they say and then I can go from there.[/quote]
I just tried to get a return to Mancheser instead of Heathrow but Air France wouldn't budge. We get into Paris at 16.45 and catch a flight to LHR at 18.00.0 -
Did they give you a choice of which LAX-CDG flight?Posts are not advice and must not be relied upon.0

To those that only called air france instead of expedia au, did your expedia status change too?
My expedia says:
Your Request Cannot Be Completed
The status of your flight has changed. Please call us on 1300 EXPEDIA (1300 397 3342) or +61 3 9639 5154 for calls outside Australia.
I e-mailed both Air France in the UK and Expedia.com.au, and neither have bothered replying.
My intinerary on Expedia still shows LAX-LHR.0 -

I've been hit by this as well. Rand expedia and they were useless - told me I'd have to PAY for the cdg-lhr flight!
AF's call centre is closed on a sunday so I have to wait until tomorrow now

Received an email from Expedia au today with the following message
"Thank you for your email.
Air France is no longer operating a direct service from Los Angeles to London Heathrow. Air France has replaced this service with a Los Angels - Paris - London Heathrow.
Please review these flights and if they are acceptable we will have your ticket reissued by the airline.
Kind Regards
Natalie"

The original flight got into LHR at 14.40 so I suppose it`s not too bad.0 -
Well I have now had a very unhelpful phonecall from AirFrance telling me that they have changed my flights as expected. I asked them if it was possible to put me on a flight to MAN instead of LHR but they point blank refused saying it was not possible.
I have to say their customer service was appaling, in the end they put the phone down on me saying it was not their problem!!
The problem I have now is that I will definately miss my connecting flight back to Manchester so I am feeling quite defeated in my efforts to get home from LA. What started off as a very good cheap deal is costing me a fortune so I am going to cut my losses and cancel.
Does anyone know if I will get a full refund for the flights? I have cancelled the connecting flight from LHR to MAN and they have told me I am only entitled to half of the money back after taxes and admin charge has been added. I was just wondering if this is likely to be the same with AirFrance? If so I will be well out of pocket because most of the cost was in taxes and supplements!0 -

I read a statement from an Air France executive that they would refund the money or arrange flights via Paris, New York or Atlanta.
You should be entitled to a full refund if you want it.
Expedia tell me my flight's not cancelled ! Well, that's ok then :mad:0
