ROBERT PESTON TRANSFORMED INTO PURE ENERGY
BBC business editor Robert Peston last night attained transcendence before converting himself into pure energy.

I think we should nationalise him. In return for the "bail out" he should meet certain conditions:
1. take an economics course
2. undertake some speech therapy
3. reveal the sources of his "dodgy dossier"
4. stop talking nonsense whenever the price of light sweet crude or brent crude reaches a psychologically powerful value0 -
Strange how he's managed to be first on four scoops in the last few weeks some which resulted in large temporary drops in share prices0

It's common knowledge that he has a close relationship with government insiders. He also wrote a book about Gordon Brown and is the son of a Labour peer.Happy chappy0

Earlier this week, I was watching him being interviewed live on TV whilst he was simultaneously having a different interview on the radio.
You have to give him an A for that!
But why does he get called up for interviews on purely economic matters (or even personal finance issues) when he is the BBC's Business Editor? (or one of them - do they have more than one?) The BBC have a very good Economics Editor - why isn't he seen more?0 -
I welcome this. Its been very strange how Peston has managed to get exclusive stories direct from the government before anyone else. Eg: HBOS and LLoyds merger. He is basically being used as Brown's mouthpiece so there is quite a risk of insider trading0

Not his number one fan, but:His style of reporting has been awful, he has done nothing to aid the situation.
A few weeks ago live on news he said the compensation limit was err i thinks its £32k ... wrong it was 35k
why do these people who are only journalists get so much importance
1) It was £31,700 (100% of £2k + 90% of £33k) until just after NR collapsed.
2) When the limit was £35k, saving £32k in 1 bank was wise to allow a couple of years in interest to be added and covered.
Didn't see the context he used it in - so don't know whether these were his considerations or not.
PS I hate him lol0
