economy 7

I am on the economy 7 tarrif. For a while now i have been leaving my water heater turned off as i really only need enough hot water to do a bit of washing up,i have an electric shower so i dont need hot water for a bath. If i do need any more water i use a kettle. Can you please tell me if this is a cheaper way of doing things or am i wasting money.

thanks terjac3

If you have electric storage heating you will still require Economy 7.

However if you have any other form of heating, you are almost certainly wasting money by being on Economy 7 and should revert to a normal day tariff.

You pay extra for day units(i.e. for 17 hours) with E7, so unless you use enough in the 7 hours of E7 you will be worse off.
