My Icesave transactions cancelled

I transferred money from my Icesave account last Saturday (4th) morning.
On Monday my Icesave account had been Debited and I was expecting the Money in my HSBC account today.

I have just logged on to Icesave and they have put the money back in the account and hence cancelled the transfer. The statement clearly shows my withdrawal on the 4th and the re-instatement today.

I also did it on Saturday, on Monday it showed the money was being 'processed' and I expected to see it today in Natwest. No such luck, it was put back into Icesave.

At least I know where it is and its not in limbo.

I also "transferred" on Saturday, using BACS.
After that, I was unable to log in to my account.
I assumed it was because they had now closed the account, in accordance with my request.
I now want to check if my cash has bounced back into my account, as the transfer has not gone through.
However, this evening I am still unable to log in. I put in my password and it comes up as something like "password invalid".
Are others having the same experience?
If not, please how did the people on this thread check that their money is now back in their accounts?
  • Just logged into Icesave with no problems and can see my 34K sat there
  • I've logged in too, both accounts are listed okay, and the amount I tried to transfer from savings on Monday has been returned to the account.
  • Has anyone else got money that's been transferred to Icesave that's still in semi-limbo?

As per my usual standing order money left my current account on 1st Oct to reach my Icesave accout. This balance however is still showing as "processed" and in my Icesave balance, and still has not yet become "cleared" balance.
  • Yup, 1k left my current account bound for Icesave on the 3rd, but it's showing as processed not cleared on the Icesave account, and it has not bounced back to the current account. :(
  • renard - was this an ISA you were cashing in? I had the same problem. Unable to login after doing the transaction on the total balance on sunday 6th
  • 2 years 9 months before making a first post? That must be some kind of record zike!

Glad I'm not the only one.

The other thing is, I can't get my statement from before 16/9. It says "opening balance 1010.16" for that date but I know I opened it before then with 1000 and got 2 months interest (taking it to that figure). Why is it lying about how long I've had the account?

No, not an ISA. Just a straightforward deposit with monthly interest.

I wonder if all those people who are saying they are having no trouble logging in had actually closed their accounts, as I did?
