Here we have a rich man.
Here we have a cripple who could have possibly lost all his money..

I wonder what side CH4 were on?

Yes, I know .. a bit odd really.

How many times did Jon Snow have Martin squirming and saying "I said something in the small print about it being different" like a naughty kid and Jon Snow just kills him again and again.

Not nice .. brutal really .. wonder if Jon Snow had money in Icesave?

He did seem to enjoy ridiculing Martin Lewis .. before turning to a disabled man who was set to lose a fortune.

Bad day at the office again.

I feel rather sorry for Martin !! ... I am certain he has operated in good faith & provides these forums F.O.C which are a great resource, Perhaps on this one he got his fingers singed a bit !!... dont we all from time to time, perhaps the tone "This is Money" took would have been a better approach in hindsight !!

It couldn't have been much worse for him. Snow couldn't get the site name right, tried to make out he "personally" endorsed Icesave which is not the case.
The other guy could barely be understood, had 150k in - if a business wouldn't have had the same cover as domestic savers anyway - didn't he do any research? As Martin said had never even heard of him or the site.

It could have been worse. He could have been sitting next to a group of disable orphans with 3 years to live, whos orphanage had just burnt down and they have just put the insurance money into an icesave account so they could rebuild their home in a few months.
And they put it in there on monday.

That's about the only case study more depressing than the one on CH4.

    Just watched it.

Personally I thought ML did well not to just tell Jon Snow to !!!! right off.

All joking aside, I'm guessing that ML spent most of the last day or so feeling (physically) sick. You could see from the clip that he was sincere. If you ask me, pretty horrible for him to suddenly be the focal point of blame for this stuff.

Just as well this has all been happily resolved, before even more ghouls could crawl out of the woodwork to point & accuse. I doubt it would have been long before we had people trying to call MSE "financial advice" & trying to sue.

I think the forthcoming rec/depr-cession is going to bring out the worst in a lot of people.

The gentleman in the wheelchair being interviewed, is a retired solicitor, I assume he would have sufficient knowledge of the banking world to know what is what! and to describe him as a cripple in comparison to Martin lewis being a rich man, is rather patronising.

If he was an accountant I would agree with you, or a retired investment banker.

But a solicitor does not necessarily have that expert knowledge.
