(Sorry - don't know how to do proper quotes.)

I am so glad someone else said this! I loved the pretty colours on their website. I thought it looked very professional and reassuring. Even now when I log in I think "but it all looks so good - how can anything possibly be wrong"!

    I'm an idiot.....! :rotfl:

No, Mrs Millar, you are not an idiot.

Those pastel colours are reassuring and I still look at them to calm myself down (even if there is also a statement there now saying no withdrawals are being processed).
  • Are they still guaranteeing the top interest rate until 2013? :D:rolleyes:

After the last few days I laughed out loud at this, nice font and colour and your html coding was much neater than the coc k that added to the official site and just stuck the FSA link on it. :T

Ha, ha - you know, I'd completely forgotten that was the reason I put a large chunk of savings with them. Well, we all know the value of an Icelandic guarantee now!!!!

(I've worked out how to quote now!)

What's really insulting about that for me is that there is an assumption that the 300,000 British savers are English, I was A British saver with them and I'm Irish.

Sort of puts me in mind of the end of "Life of Brian" where the Jews are complaining about other people being crucified in the Jews-only area.

Love the slogan - "clear difference"

    Talk about subliminal messages!

So there's more than just me in Norn Iron that's waiting for Gordon Brown to pay out! I'm sure the DUP could do some sort of deal with you again to get our money quicker, like the 42 days detention!:rotfl:

And the one time I had to phone them up, I got through to a husky-voiced Scandinavian Mariella Frostrup soundalike.

Haha, I never experienced the Frostrup part, though I agree it would have been a winner for me. But as for the pretty pastel colours ... nah, you've lost it with that one! :D
