As a TalkTalk customer can I use a BT wireless router?

A friend has given me a BT Voyager wireless router that she doesn't need. As a TalkTalk customer I'm not sure whether I can use it. I assume that if I ring them for advice they will want me to buy their equipment, and as I am almost entirely clueless about how these things work any advice/guidance appreciated!
Also, would I need to subscribe to a wireless service? I have had a look at their website and can only find reference to buying a USB adaptor.
Many thanks!

I have talk talk and use a wireless bt voyager router. Works fine but some bt routers are locked to bt only so you will need to check that your username and password will work with the bt router.
You will need to buy a usb adapter to make your pc wireless and connect to the bt router (you dont need to subscribe to anything for this)
Hope this helps0 -
