icesave processed transaction reversed

Again, the same thing has happened to me. I transferred some money on Monday evening [6th Oct], it was registered as processed on Tuesday 7th and taken back into my Icesave account today, Wednesday 8th.
I've printed off a copy of the statement and made a copy to my computer. This is what you must do if this happens to you.
Obviously, 'processed' has another meaning to these people! Perhaps it loses something in the translation to Icelandic.
Surely they have lost all credibility if they are capable of this sort of thing.0 -
ours back where it started too0

Great - I had hoped in vain I might get away with it, but my £30K has returned to my Icesave account.
I wonder whether anyone on this site knows about the legality of reversing transactions like this - particularly CHAPS. I guess it could be a matter of Icelandic insolvency law, but it does seem objectionable that so-called processed transactions are reversed even before there is any actual insolvency to speak of.0 -
just check my account again
BACS transfer set up on Sunday and initiated on Monday has been reversed and money is back in Icesave account.
TBH I'm just happy I at least know where it is now!0 -
Same here, we tried to transfer via BACs on Sunday night and it has now been pulled back into our Icesave accounts despite three different girls at Icesave pretty much assuring us our money would be transfered to our UK accounts!!
This is outrageous, it's not their money to be messing about with like this. I feel sick.
Thank goodness our government is stepping in.

I closed my instant access account at about 8am yesterday and there's no sign of it online, though I can still see my ISA and fixed rate account. I'm kicking myself for not taking a print of the account before closing it so I really hope it'll come back online.0
